Prices are as follows:

Weddings

  • Wedding Ceremony: $300

this price includes pre-ceremony music (as guests are arriving, mingling, seating, etc.) and any in-ceremony music (such as a ring blessing ceremony).  It also includes your choice of music for the processional and recessional.  David is willing to learn two new songs/pieces beyond what is listed in the repertoire above (within time and style restrictions).

  • Cocktail Hour/Reception: an additional $150 an hour.

if purchased separately from a wedding ceremony, there is a 2 hour minimum for a cocktail hour/reception.

  • Travel Fees: 50 cents a mile if outside Portland City Limits.

Composition

Prices for commissioned works vary depending on the length and style of the piece desired.  If you would like to commission a piece of music by Élan please contact us.

Arrangements/Transcriptions/Musical Notation and Dictation

Prices vary depending on nature and scope of project, but $100 an hour is the general rate.  Again please contact us regarding any pricing inquiries.

Music Lessons

  • 30 minute lesson- $30
  • 60 minute lesson- $60

Lessons are usually sold in 1 month packages with discounts given for each additional month purchased in advance (see Music Lessons Page for more details).  Group rates are available too, as well as discounts for children 10 and under.  Lessons are catered to each students individual playing level and consists of learning such basic skills as ear training, sight reading, basic music theory, composition, etc.  Lessons are offered in:

  • guitar and ukulele (classical, finger-style, jazz, rock, pop, blues, folk)
  • music theory and aural skills
  • songwriting/composing/arranging/transcribing
  • group lessons/coordinated jam sessions
